I agree with everything you have said here. Nothing exciting about any 11 year old girl giving birth, regardless of the cicrumstances. The boyfriend needs something else done to him!

How very sad, and how very very true. This child because at this age, this is what she is, will need so much counseling and family support. How can a young girl at this age, be emotional stable in these kind of cicumstances.

I agree with you: Why was the 10 year old left alone long enough with a boy to have sex?

What I would like to know is how old the "boyfriend" is and who the hell let's their kid have a boyfriend/girlfriend in 5th grade? What's the point?

Just because it is more common in third world countries does not make it right.

Yes & the reason for such high birthrate in third world countries is because of lack of education. This is the united states, something like this is rare & should not happen. As far as the argument about the girl having an abortion or having the kid....what do you think is more traumatic: having a procedure that lasts about 20 minutes or carrying out & delivering a baby after 9 months? I think I'd go w/the latter.

Very young working girls? Don't you mean very young sex slaves? Those girls are sold into sexual slavery very often by their families. No choice involved --- so lets not give it a 'cutsie' label like working girls.
