that is one of the most rediculous statements I have ever read, sarcasm or whatever you want to call it. We are not talking about a situation whether than adult made the choice to carry a child, knowing her health and life might be in danger. You stupid comments are totally uncalled for. The cases are as different and night and day. Oh, bTW, maybe he will grow up to be famous, how knows?
I don't see this tragedy as a call for abortion anymore then I see it as the end result of sex education. A little girl was raped and there is no mention whatsoever of her rapist and her boneheaded 'mother' thinks having an eleven year old raise a baby is cute. What a maroon!
Where the hell is social services? Personally I would have loved for this child to have been given the morning after pill after her attack (because no way in hell could this have been consensual), and yes - quite probably an abortion in the weeks afterward. Failing that the newborn should have been given up for adoption. Again I ask - what absolute waste of humanity of a mother would actually think keeping that baby would be a good thing for her eleven year old?!
Augh! They should give both children up for adoption - the little girl also deserves a better chance at life then her idiot mom is providing.

11 is young and I would think there would be risks to her health. I am basically pretty conservative but am not anti abortion when it is necessary. WHat a lot of trauma they put her through. Hope the clod/father goes to jail for a long time.
This child was molested & raped by her mothers boyfriend. Nothing grown up about this story at all.
Are you sure about that? I heard on the news that there is a boyfriend (of the 11 year old) in the picture. There was no mention of rape or abuse. It was assumed to be the boyfriend's baby.
