I know that ever since Barry's been in office, we haven't heard much of the wars from the media, but you do realize the wars are still going on right? To think this "take down the corporation and stop the wars" idea is what Obama is doing, is foolish. The wars are still going on, war propagandists are still milking billions from our government for empire building, corporations are larger than ever, etc.

So woman have the choice to kill their babies but I don't have a choice whether I pay for it or not.

That's upside down thinking.
Kind of makes me complicit but not by my own volition.

What kind of freedom is that?
It's forced sin to me.

So, only in my world people die right? All this bill did was consolidate even more control into even fewer hands.
Don't be so sure of that, bub.

Have you considered attending a Tea Party protest? You'd probably make some friends there.

Who forced you to pay for someones abortions? You should stop hanging around with those people.

Fortunately there is a law...extended for this healthcare bill...that prevents your tax money from funding abortions. God Bless America, am I right?

Ignorant yes. I don't think you see the big picture. You see the "ME" picture clearly enough but you belong to a society and that comes with responsibility whether you like it or not. If you don't, you still have the freedom to go elsewhere. Isn't that wonderful? Nobody ever promised you a rose garden.

(my bolding)

I truly do hope for you that your good health continues.

Here's the thing, though: You might, tomorrow, find yourself needing several hundred thousands worth of health care. You may even need that to just survive, forget about returning to a situation where you can earn an income to repay that cost. Younger, healthier individuals than you have found themselves in that situation.

Now, the rest of society has made an ethical judgment - correctly, in my opinion - that we'll not let you croak (directly) due to lack of funds, even if the chances of you recovering, let alone returning to productive status, are slim. And so the cost comes out of our pockets, in the form of elevated hospital bills - to say nothing of all the billing specialists, collection agents and bankruptcy lawyers we have to pay to get as much as possible out of you (or your estate).

The cost to you, personally, would of course be very much higher. The very best outcome would be for you to be young, healthy and a few hundred thousands in debt. You might be young, unhealthy, uninsurable and a few hundred thousands in debt, which is not a good situation to be in.

If you only rolled the dice on your own behalf, it'd be one thing. But the rest of us are paying to fix young healthy individuals just like you all the time. Pony up. If you end up never needing the insurance you paid for, bless your damn lucky stars.

Like I said, I'm all for lowering health care costs and insurance premiums. The main thing that differs between me, and most Obama fans, are the trust of government. It seems the proponants of this bill have an enduring trust that our goverment can do something of this scale correctly. I know better. I'm also not foolish enough to think this bill is intended to take down the "evil" medical industry. Just putting more power into fewer hands. Companies will still get extremely rich, just the companies Obama supports though...

Please stop the personal attacks. I haven't disrespected you, so all I ask is you extend me the same gratitude. I live in a society, but it seems you don't. Well, unless one disagrees with you, right? That's were your civil etiquette seems to stop.

Keep trusting that government, they're great at everything.

By the way, I do have health insurance. I was using rhetoric trying to speak for everyone with my distrust of this bill.
