It is not right for middle class, lower class income people to not pay into the tax base. It is stealing and we need to put a stop to it.

Why steal from a successful persona and hand it to someone who wont get out of bed in the morning?

No one owes YOU a dime, you EARN what you want and need.

People need to stop trying to steal from successful people, get a job or two or three or learn a trade or a skill that will make you successful.

Stealing is not good for you.

I need to come up with 10 ways we can get the stinking lazy butts to finally pay their fair share in America instead of freeloading of the rest of us.
That's not really true, if they are 'using the roads & bridges' they are technically paying for them via the gas tax imposed at Federal & state levels. And at least here in SC, schools are funded via vehicle, property & sales taxes, so pretty much everyone contributes to that as well even if they don't pay federal income tax.

The 47% you are referring too is the amount of people who don't pay a dime to the IRS, which funds pretty much everything else run by the government, but I agree w/the premise of your post.

You're saying you put up the $Millions in captial for all of them to rent or purchase their office/business space and obtain the vehicles, equipment, tools and materials to operate, plus provided liquid funds for their payroll for the first six months?

No. You didn't create those jobs, you're just maintaining them.

Isn't it also greedy to sit on the couch and expect someone else to pay your way?

Come on now, that's the Obama way... As soon as everyone in America sits on their butts and lets the Government take care of them, he will have achieved his goal...!

Yes, it is greedy. And lazy, too.

This is becoming more difficult as I get older. I live my life frugally, leave a very small footprint (no children, no debt, no entitlements, etc…) & diligently stay away from spendthrift mentality people.

Here’s the problem: there’s too many big footprint people (wannabes)! I don’t care if Jay Leno spends more on lunch than I make in a week, but these wannabes’ with their absurd debts are becoming detrimental to life on earth!
The "footprint" theory is a myth perpetuated by those who want to take down the greatest economic system in the history of mankind.

Did you know that EVERY single person on earth could fit inside Texas and it would only be as crowded as Manhattan?

Live life, have kids and don't die a lonely old bitter progressive.

I'm trying to figure out why we're all arguing over who should be taxed and not collectively coming together to lower taxes for EVERYBODY?! I have a very conservative mindset but I'm not all against the rich paying a higher percentage in income tax...if it was much lower than it is now. In the early 1900's most people didn't pay income taxes and only the very wealthy paid one (about 8%)..imagine 8% tax being the highest income tax bracket.

The country currently has an estimated $67 trillion dollars in long-term debt (including all the interest we must pay when compounded over time) and nearly $50 trillion of that is social security, medicaid, and medicare. These are all socialist programs and we can't print money to pay the debts off, because printing money increases inflation and all three of these programs adjust for inflation so the debt would just increase. We need to remove socialist programs from our country and let the free markets resume so that we can again all but remove the income tax. The problem now is many people are DEPENDENT on these programs because we were willing to give up a little bit of freedom to put these programs in place. So either we keep them and go farther in debt or we cause some short term pain for those that are dependent on them.

“A wise and frugal government… shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government.” — Thomas Jefferson, during his First Inaugural Address

“The government of the United States is a definite government, confined to specified objects. It is not like the state governments, whose powers are more general. CHARITY IS NO PART of the legislative duty of the government.” — James Madison

This link explains in great detail the basic concepts of economics and what we are going through (fyi this video is from 2006 and he predicted everything that happened in 2008 before it happened):
