We know how you feel about blacks when we read this racist post:
Notice where he is from Typical racist white southerner.
I am black and don't use the word. The only time I've heard it being used is by rappers, white people, and Hispanics (particularly Puerto Ricans and Cubans)
It's just a word. Time to move on, because the more people react to it the longer it'll take. I personally think the whole "n word" thing sounds silly anyway. Bigger things to worry about these days.
I could care less if I use it or not but it's one of those things where black people will say "the word offends us" and then half of them will turn around and say stuff like "wuzzup my *****??" and it's a casual greeting. If it's so offensive then dont use it in casual conversation, personally I dont think people are as offended as they claim to be.
My friend and I call each other "Cracker" all the time, it's funny..and if one of my black friends said, what up cracker, I would LMAO.
So, I have been wondering this for a little while. The whole n__ word argument was blown out of proportion some years back. Black leaders (whoever and whereever they are) and Bill Cosby, supposedly were trying to ban the word, telling people not to use it. Anywho, I would always hear whites saying, "well, I can't use that word, I can't say that, only you can". They would complain that they don't know when to use it, who to use it to, where, all that. Whites, that I know personally, and my boss, specifically said, "the word shouldn't be allowed to be used, it is a hurtful word and it has a horrible history".
Now, I understand and agree that the word has a horrible history, but whocares?? Why do white people want to be able to say this word?? That is what I don't understand. What is the big deal?? And why because white people "can't" say it (they can say what they want really), should the word be banned from existence?? Also, of all the issues in the black community to give a damn about, why this one??
Thanks, my white peeps )
Because Blacks think the OWN the word. They can say "was up *****", and it's all good. A white person saying the same sentence, it's like an invitation to a smack down.
So dumb. You can use it casually, but no one else can? WHY NOT? If it's SO OFFENSIVE, why do you use it so loosely in friendly terms.

Say the word if it makes you feel better! You seem so pressed on the fact that you can't say it, but in reality who in the hell is stopping you from saying it?

There was an episode of The Boondocks (yeah, MacGruder's work was turned into an animated cartoon) where Riley Freeman's white teacher called him a "n*****" and he got his grandpa to sue the school. The teacher said that it had just slipped and he hadn't meant anything bad, it's just that he heard them calling each other that term so much, it just came out. "N**** this, and N*** that, my n***....N*** please!"
It struck me as funny, like a lot of comedy, because I saw an element of truth in what was being said. Same reason Richard Pryor was funny, or Eddie Murphy (at least as a younger man). Because they spoke truth, and people knew it.
I don't want to say the word. I just think that because blacks use the term so freely, but when whites use it world war III goes down. It's just a double standard. And I personally think it sounds trashy and derogatory when blacks use the term. As a white person, when I hear you say to your black friends "what's up *****" I think to myself, what educated, self respecting, and culture respecting person would use such a hated word as a greeting? Boggles my mind.
At one of the jobs I had I was one of the few white employees there. From my understanding is that some black people get offended by the word and some don't. Needless to say everyone got along with no incidents although I don't say it if I am with people I don't know or barely know to avoid causing controversy.
