So how is this a black eye for drilling?

An accident is an accident....

Obama won the 2008 presidential election, I'm sure he'll have no trouble finding a lot of people to believe him.

That's not what I heard.

Where's Mrs. Palin to lead the base in a rousing chant?

Well, right now it appears everyone can drill in the Gulf except the USA!

Cuba, is drilling in the gulf. Viet Nam is drilling in the gulf. Everyone is drilling in the gulf; except the USA, per Obama decree.

Talk about cutting off our nose to spite our face!

Obama is an idiot. He has proved it once again.

So if a despised oil company exec tells 0bama a spill is only, pffffft, 1,000 barrels a day, 0bama would be correct to ignore it because it would not be a disastrous impact on coastal areas? When did 0bama start trusting implicitly what the greedy, hell-spawned oil company execs tell him?

She may well be, but unfortunately the chants of "0bama, 0bama, hopey, changey" would be drowning her out.

Ah yes.... her people.

I think they'd switch to "Drill baby drill" again if she told them to, dont you?

So some braniac moved all references to the oil spill into a discussion about the need to "Drill Baby Drill! By The Way, Anybody Got A Mop?"???

My thread was on how FEMA, and the government should be responding to oil spills, not about the pros and cons of drilling for oil or quotes by Sarah Palin.
