These 15 people should be torn apart by drawing and quartering with farm pickups just for the fun of seeing people who are in the job just for the money.

What a bunch of cheap people.

roysoldboy !!! ... It does appear to be so sadly typical of many of these good folks ..... I mean that unfortunate mind deficiency thing !!!
An "Open Mind" will always be the key for obtaining clarity to grasp understanding of the "Big Picture".

A mind that will never be changed is indeed a dangerous possession !

As usual you are right on the mark with your posts !

decafdave !!! ... Great Point !

How can you say such an unmentionable & mean thing as this ???

But you are absolutely right ... The time to have stopped this pathetic mess was thirty years ago !

Will this nation ever come to it's senses and take a good hard look at total disasters such as this one and then decide to stop the madness ?

America these days ! Thanks / Old Sgt. Lamar

Haha glad you agree LFunk! Loonies just seem to invite criticism when they post blatant hypocrisy. They cry foul when the private sector rewards itself (sometimes a problem too I have to say).

I guarantee the same individual who posted that would whine about unfair treatment of minorities in the education system in another topic, but I suppose that point isn't relevant to his current argument. Not convenient enough!

The truth is, it's absolutely telling that ALL of the politicians in question are democrats. As far as the racial aspect goes, I think that original poster had something to his argument that these politicians are most likely serving poor constituencies that are also poorly educated so there is not much re-election risk for voting for pay increases.

Not all the Representatives are independently wealthy folks, many support their family on the salary they make, I don't hold it against them for wanting to make a bit more.
Are you kidding? It has been ALL OVER THE NEWS that a private sector worker making $40k would get $70k working for our BLOATED non-efficient government.

My bad.
Your bad? What does that mean? "Bad is an adjective, not a noun" You mean "My mistake?" To show people how dumb saying this sounds, would you ever say "My Good?" or know what someone meant by saying it? I wouldn't.

I can't get over how so many people these day are copying slang that is grammatically incorrect and using it when they know better.

It is time for the people who say "my bad" to start saying "my mistake" or my error or my goof, or my mess-up..but certainly not time for those who know better to say things like "my bad" just to sound cool. If you think you sound cool, you also sound less educated.

Sorry to use your comment to point this out. I'm certainly NOTcriticizing you personally. Rather, I'm using it as an opportunity to point out how our use of the English language has gotten sloppier and sloppie. Rather than trying to make it more sloppy, we should try to clean it up-- if for no other reason, you sound smarter the more articulate you are.

The first time I heard someone say "My Bad" I was waiting for them to finish the phrase such as saying something like "My Bad Error" but they just stopped after the adjective.

To me hearing someone say "My Bad" is like hearing someone run their fingernails across a chalk board or watching someone eat who always chews with their mouth open. It makes me cringe and I'm sure I'm not alone.

Have you thought long enough about this matter to wonder if the government workforce is a parallel to the entirety of the private sector workforce, as it would need to be in order for the numbers you reported to be comparable? Are you sure that the federal workforce doesn't actually include a much higher percentage of scientists, accountants, lawyers, economists, diplomats, language specialists, and other such highly trained professional types than the private sector workforce does? These poeple would after all naturally command higher than ordinary salaries regardless of where they worked.
