Why are repugs screaming NOW for aid to unemployed fellow Americans?

Why are repugs NOW so worried about the environment, why have they become real tree (or coastal) huggers NOW?

I don't think Obama has even spoken to the CEO of BP, yet he claims to be in control of this mess? M'hmm, sure.

Of course it does deflect responsibility from the responsible parties , The God of Repugs-CORPORATIONS- ........

Repugs: "Personal responsibility....what's that?"
What bigger government are you talking about? There are already agencies and plans within the federal govt. to do these things. Where are they? Why is there miles and miles of containment booms still sitting in warehouses? Why wasn't there an aircraft carrier loaded with the containment booms out there ready to go at a moments notice? There are things that can be done without growing government.

Personally, i'd be content if the President stopped everything he was doing and concentrate on a handful of issues: The Oil Spill, Afghanistan/Iraq, and Israel/Iran (peripherally). It would make me happy if there were no other legislative considerations taken up during this time of crisis. A paid vacation (out of DC) for legislators would be acceptable to me. No vacations for the President. No diversions. Complete and total attention until the spill has been stopped and mitigation well underway.
I'm sure he has more celebrities to rub elbows with, more musicians to sing before him and Flotus.

They guy stood in the rain discussing whose ass to kick, what more do you want from him?

yet another liberal who doesnt understand the difference between the proper role of government and government that is over reaching.

good grief. Your attempt to find hypocracy has only proven your lack of basic understanding.

Conservatives are not trying to grant new powers to the federal government. The federal government, and more specifically - OBAMA, is already tasked by federal law to clean up this multi-state oil disaster. Besides, helping to protect the nation from natural or man made disasters is one responsibility of government. There are more then a few "the president shall" in the law. Far too long now, 0bama has been letting BP do it all, while he sits back and plays the Kibitzer-in-Chief.

Yet another repugs who thinks he defines the "proper role" of government....which is: overreaching(Obama acts too fast and does too much...."Obama is powercrazed") or putting responsibility on the RESPONSIBLE party(BP) "Oh, he isn't doing enough(to wipe our repugs butts wahhh, we need government to help us in EVERYTHING!!! Wahhhhh))......

An attempt to spell hypocrisy shows basic lack of education.
