My husband is signing a lease on a rental home this morning! After having lived all of my life in Phoenix, I'm incredibly excited to move on to (quite literally) greener pastures. Hubby's been taking tons of photos for me, and I can't get over how beautiful it is in OR. I get to experience it first hand next Monday, as that will be my first trip out to our new home state.

Thanks to all you Oregonians who have given me so much insight these past few months. I've really appreciated all of your help.

The Newest and Most Enthusiastic Oregon Transplant,

lol, how fun to hear you so excited about your new home!!! I cant wait to hear all about what you think of Oregon and who you meet. Please do keep us updated!
on an sidenote, I had someone from Arizona who began posting on this forum, then pming me because of their move from Az to Ore. Well, she and her family have been here for a few months now and just love it! Its so fun because I see her a few times a week and have had the joy of hearing first hand from her, their experiences in such a major transition. She went from leery about moving here, to overjoyed at being an Oregonian. I do hope you end up the same!
Best of luck to you, and welcome home!
Tiffany

Welcome. You'll be visiting here just a bit too early for the spring bloom, but I suspect even so, the green-ness will blow you away. Just wait until May-June. AND, you can walk around outside in August without getting heatstroke...really! (I came from TX so I can relate to heat.)

Thanks, guys!

Tiffela, I certainly will check back and report our experience with relocating. I have no doubt whatsoever that I'm going to love it there!

John, my husband has been taking pictures like crazy and sending them to me...I AM blown away by the green! It's like nothing I've seen around here! Just beautiful. I can't wait to see it in person.

Ahhh, tulips. Fantastic! The kids and I won't actually be in PDX until June, but I'll be sure to catch the festival next year! Thanks, seven!
