I voted no. Something loud and obnoxious like that needs to be in the Phoenix area where it belongs. Firebird is falling apart anyway. People move to places like Chino and Cottonwood for peace and quiet.

Old Home Manor, or OHM, is the future of Chino Valley. Consisting of 880 acres of mostly undeveloped land, this plot-east of Chino Valley proper-is likely to serve as the commercial, municipal and community hubs.

Actually that much land is big enough for a good size airport which would be a great idea!!!!!

I have lived in two communities that had racetracks in them.
The tracks were in the boonies when they started~~~~no problems.
Then some jerk buys up the property around them and sells homes in tract housing and all of the sudden there is a noise problem and the track has to close.
Just like airports, it does not matter that they were there first.

No matter what they try to put there the nimby liberals will be screaming that it is an unacceptable use of the land, heck they tried to stop a solar farm and a Koa campground.

Chino Valley puts auto racing on the fast track

Council gets preliminary plan next week

Chino Valley Mayor Chris Marley’s Ad Hoc Recreational Committee on Sept. 27 unanimously agreed to submit a proposal to the Chino Valley Town Council for a new motorsports complex at Old Home Manor Park.
During the council’s next regular meeting scheduled for 6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 11, inside Town Hall, Marley’s committee plans to recommend that a 25-acre motorsports park with a dirt oval track be built in the southwest corner of Rodeo and North Old Home Manor drives north of the ballpark.
A motorsports group led by Dave Brinkley of Prescott would seek a 20-year renewable lease from council for the proposed Old Home Manor Speedway, with performance reviews on the site conducted every five years.

I am a liberal and I say, "NO"!! Chino Valley is known for its country life, peace and quiet. Most people move here because it is peaceful. If you want a race track try to reopen the one in PV.

I hate liberals (the enemy within) and I also hate noise. But you supporters of something that might have worked forty years ago, need step into the current times. You are living in the past with hot rods.

I've been doing cars for over forty years, I know what I am writing about. This race car garbage does nothing for the larger demographic..........in other words, step out of your tiny circle of car people and look around ..........
What you will hear is, "no one cares about that hobby".

They built a huge track down near Willcox..........boring with little use, Firebird DOA
Wake up............it's over
