Here are the 5A D-I match ups left (some darn good ones)
DeSoto v Stony Point (Round Rock)
Katy v Pearland
SA Stevens v SA Wagner

5A D-II:
Denton Guyer v Southlake Carroll
Longview v Mesquite Horn
Cy Woods v Houston Memorial
Cibolo Steele (w/ #1 back Malcolm Brown) v SA MacArthur
I hope SA Stevens or SA Wagner are able to bring home a championship. Been awhile since a SA area team brought home a championship. Believe SA Roosevelt was the last back in '95.

Ill cheer on Cibolo cause Brown could be making his way to Texas Longhorns!!

Texas is down to four teams in the 5A State Finals.

Division I:

Euless Trinity Trojans (15-0- Representing Region 1, the Defending State Champions, Trinity is gunning for the mythical national championship. They have defeated nationally ranked Allen, Stony Point, Coppell, and possibly Pearland (next week).

vs.

Pearland Oilers (15-0)- Representing Region 3, the Oilers defeated the Katy Tigers, a traditional State power. They are led by QB Trey Anderson and will look to spread Trinity out and outscore them.

Division II:

Denton Guyer Wildcats (13-2)- Representing Region 1, Guyer moved up to 5A just this year. They have knocked off traditional power, Southlake Carrol twice this year, as well as Longview, Abilene Cooper, and Cedar Hill.

vs.

Cibolo Steele Knights (13-2)- Representing Region 4, the Knights are also new to 5A. They are led by #1 running back in the nation, Malcolm Brown (a Texas commit).

Saturday, we should see shoot outs in these games.

It's all wrapped up in Texas. Man, there were some awesome State finals and some Texas state records fell. Cowboys Stadium was packed and a ton of supporters were everywhere.

5A Division 1: Pearland Oilers (Houston area), in front of 43,000+, upset defending State champion Euless Trinity 28-24, for their first State championship. Trinity's quest for a Mythical National Championship is done. Trey Anderson was nearly flawless as he dissected Trinity's defense to near perfection.

5A Division 2: In a hard fought, back and forth game, Cibolo (See-below) Steele ( San Antonio area) outlasted Denton Guyer 24-21. Guyer, led by Oklahoma State commit, J.W. Walsh, had too many opportunities in Steele's side of the field that went nowhere. #1 recruited back, Malcolm Brown, was not that big of a factor as he suffered from a stinger early. Both teams were evenly matched and would split a ten game series if given the chance. Darn good game.

4A Division 1: Lake Travis (Austin area) has won their 4th straight title. Can anybody stop these kids in the playoffs? Most schools who have an indoor practice field tend to be pretty good...and rich. The Cavaliers walloped Denton Ryan 27-7. Lake Travis will be the favorite going into next year and will try and become the first Texas school to win 5 straight.

4A Division 2: Aledo Bearcats (who beat Lake Travis earlier this year), led by the best back in the nation-Jonathon Gray- destroyed Houston power La Marque Cougars 69-34 to win their 2nd straight title. Gray rushed for 325 yards and 8 touchdowns! He set a Texas finals records with his 8 tds and went over the 3,000 yard mark and now holds the Texas state record for tds in a single season, 58 (besting the Sugar Land Express- Kenneth Hall). This was one exciting game as it was close at half and the La Marque running back, Tim Wright, had over 200 yards himself. It was literally a running shootout. I haven't seen one of those before.
