It's early but that schedule looks absolutely brutal to me.
Carolina played quite a bit over their heads this year. It showed in the Super Bowl, if you get to and/or frustrate Cam Newton, he falls apart.
I expect them to be a playoff team, but.. I don't see the dominance they showed this year.
That being said.. It is a tough schedule. I expect Detroit to be improved, Minnesota getting better.. As Phyxius said, as Palmer goes, so goes Arizona. But, yeah.. Washington needs to go about 6-2 in the first half of the schedule because the second half looks like 4-4 territory.
Speaking of Carolina, there's a good chance the Redskins land Josh Norman. I don't know how they are going to afford him but reports are that it's a good chance Norman signs with Washington.

I hope not, to be honest. I was reading they have about 11 mil of cap space and he wants 15-16.
Even if they structure things to fit.. That probably precludes picking up a veteran RB, which I think is really needed.
If they had the cap room to spare.. I'd be for it. I like him, he's a great player, and seems to be a good person. Of course, I was nervous about the D.Jax signing, but he's been great so far as a citizen.. Still not pleased about his actions during the punt return in Dallas last year, but..
I really would like to know the specifics on the Culliver situation. They apparently have an out with no cap hit because he was suspended. I'm not sure if that continues into next off season or if this is their window. Obviously they can't cut him as he is still hurt. But if this is their chance I'd go ahead and release him once he is medically cleared, we just can't have that much tied into one position without losing out at other areas.

I'd say there's a good chance both Culiver and Roberts are cut once they are healthy. Norman will only count $8 million against the cap this year. Cutting Roberts alone will make room for that hit.
While the ultimate number appears to be huge, when it comes down to it, Norman is only guaranteed around $36 million. It's actually a pretty good deal for both Norman and the Redskins.
Now the Redskins can focus on other areas of need in the draft. I'm excited to see who SM gets tomorrow night!
