I don't think we are at that point right now... A lesser coach or GM would panic this early. If u want/need The guy then try to work it out. ie Usi for the Giants. They handled that situation perfectly.
We're just gonna have to see, then. It'll be a test to Red J.
Jason Witten suffered a spleen injury in Monday's preseason game, and the star tight end's availability for the Dallas Cowboys' regular-season opener is uncertain, a team source said.
The Cowboys still have not determined the seriousness of the injury, although early evaluations have indicated that Witten's spleen is not ruptured, according to the source. He experienced internal bleeding but still could avoid surgery, the source said.
Witten will miss the remainder of the preseason and will be re-evaluated before the season opener against the New York Giants on Sept. 5, according to the source.
If surgery is not required, Witten is expected to miss up to three weeks but likely would be available against the Giants. But if the bleeding continues and he needs surgery, Witten would be sidelined indefinitely, the source said.
Even though I can't stand the Cowboys, I'm always glad to see the Giants lose. lol.
