John Kuhn is going to retire from football as a Packer. He played a few years in Pittsburgh, then 9 years for the Pack, ended with the Saints for 2 years. I always liked John and enjoy listening to him when he fills in on the radio show for either Wilde or Tausch. He always provides, open and honest opinions from a players point of view, not much sugar coating with him.

Packers are in FA for a change. Za'Darius Smith from the Ravens and Adrian Amos from the Bears, 2 solid players in positions of need, Edge Rusher and Safety. Takes some pressure off the draft as they need Oline depth and a TE would be great.

What kind of defense are the Packers expected to run this fall? Preston Smith was just signed to a 4 year deal by the Packers. Preston was an OLB in a 3-4 defense for the Redskins over the last few years; however, in college at Mississippi State he was a defensive end in a 4-3 defense. There is a part of me that thinks putting him back at defensive end in a 4-3 base might help him be more consistent and productive.

Even though I hear 3-4, when you watch them, I don't think they are a true 3-4 team anymore, especially with Pettine's defense. It will be interesting to see how it goes. I'm glad they got a couple of players in FA though, interesting year coming up no doubt.

Reading around the net, Ha Ha C-D goes to the Bears and some Bear fans say they got the better part of the deal, as the Pack got Amos. Have they seen Ha Ha play? New team maybe he'll give it his all but he didn't look any better on the Redskins than he did on the Packers. Guy has an issue with effort level.

They should offer Jordy veterans minimum again. He might take it this time.

Jordy is visiting Seahawks tomorrow, has interest from Pats, Titans, KC and Raiders if he restructures. They paid him 3 mil of 2019 Dec. 2018. With 3 rookies who have a year in, better not to have Jordy and their further development. Cobb is visiting the Cowboys today.

Randall Cobb signs with the Cowboys for 1 year, 5 mil, hate to see him go but Packers are counting on their young guys, I guess. Breeland, Brice, Jake Ryan signed with other teams. No word on Clay Matthews yet, Rams were interested.

And Rams it is. Clay signed a 2 year deal with them, he'll be close to home. He built a new house, not far from Rams facility, they just had their 3rd child so good for him. Apparently he had other offers but chose Rams to be home.
