I grew up drinking from the tap and never gave it a second thought.
I still drink from the kitchen tap.
Haven't had a problem (yet)!

Same here. What else would we have had to drink? People weren't running around with plastic bottles of water until maybe 20 years ago or so.

I should have mentioned this earlier.

Bottled water did not become popular in the US until about 20-30 years ago. Before than it was a "High Society Item" with snob appeal.

Hmm, I wonder why it would be filtered, treated with chlorine, and have fluoride added to fight tooth decay if not meant for drinking?

Yes and the worst stuff you can be drinking in your water is SODIUM FLOURIDE.. (A nuclear waste product)
