It was a beautiful morning here in SW Florida, probably the last one until October. I took my coffee outside to sit on the lanai and BAM here come the lawn maintenance people for the condo where I live. They used to come on Thursday but they changed companies and now these new people come on Saturdays disturbing what should be a relaxing morning.

They are here for hours so you'll laying out by the pool having to listen to those damn leaf blowers for hours.

It is a whole TWO miles from my house to my son's. That is too far, I have to get in my car and drive over there. I NEED to be nearer to them. Okay, this is my way of telling you that I have a brand new (two days old) grandson and want to brag. First world problem for me,----I don't have any pictures to share (yet)

I could tell you a story about how dangerous eyebrow pencils can be. But it's not a funny story.

An acquaintance of mine was lamenting that she soon had to make a visit to her mother-in law, who adores her. She & spouse are flying there in their own plane.

Can you imagine anything that awful? I mean, really:

1. A MIL who likes you & enjoys your company;

2. Having the money to take flying lessons & become pilots;

3. Having even MORE $$$ for your very own plane! Forget Southwest or Delta!

Really, I feel so bad for her...

And I could tell you a story about how dangerous a jar of mayonnaise could be too, but it's not a funny story either!

Oh the whole horror happened to me - dropped a full, glass jar of mayo, it landed right on my big toe, then broke, then got mayo and glass all over the floor, and then I slipped in the mayo and glass and fell and busted my arse.

Then it took months for that floor to stop being slippery, even though I cleaned and cleaned it.

I don't understand why they have to put those little tiny stickers on every single apple. Most of the time when I remove them in the morning to wash the apple and pack it to take to work, some of the skin comes off and then the apple has a brown spot when I go to eat it after lunch.
