I didn't do anything for Memorial Day either. Other than the obligatory trip to Lowe's for more brick pavers for our patio project. I cooked last night when it was cool.
Not interested in traffic or crazy people.
Same here.
Every weekend for me is a three day weekend. Actually every weekend is a seven day weekend. So usually on crowded weekends like this, I stay home and piddle around.
Actually I've spent a lot of time today and this weekend thinking about men and women who have given their lives for their country. I could be wrong but I think that's sort of the general idea of this holiday anyway.
You mean like the ones they have in changing rooms, in stores? Yes, they probably alter them to make you look better!
The other thing that stores do (at least in the UK), is to make clothes larger than they are supposed to be. So you get your size, find it's too big, and have to get a smaller size.
This is supposed to make you feel better - to discover you are a size smaller. But it annoys me, because I know that they are just making the clothes bigger.
Exactly! They think we're all boneheads.
I was recently in a restroom that had the worst lighting I've ever seen. It gave everything kind of a purplish hue. I almost passed out, I scared myself so bad when I looked in the mirror. Purple lighting really brings out the dark circles under a person's eyes.
My toenails could use some repainting and I can never do it as well as the Vietnamese at the nail salon, but I really dislike that they speak Vietnamese back and forth to each other constantly because it makes me feel like they're talking trash about me.
What's this about a "FEW?"
I need the whole pantry. I have lot of marshmallows.
