Symptoms of a shopping addict:

Do you shop when you feel angry or disappointed?
Has overspending created problems in your life?
Do you have conflicts with loved ones about your need to shop?
While shopping, do you feel euphoric rushes or anxiety?
After shopping, do you feel like you have just finished doing something wild or dangerous?
After shopping, do you ever feel guilty or embarrassed about what you have done?
Do you frequently buy things that you never end up using or wearing?
Do you think about money almost all the time?

Shopping should not be a hobby although that is what most retailers want us to believe.

If you have to control it at all you have a problem.

Shopping is just a duty or task for most people. They buy what they need, often searching for the best price. They have no need for control because they only shop when they need something. Shopping addiction is shopping when you don't need anything except a "fix."

I say why not turn it into a side gig?...

Perhaps scout & shop for other people as you sound like you're certainly qualified in how to spot good deals & enjoy the process more than the end product(s).

Have you considered becoming a personal shopper as a means to quell this urge while earning extra income (to perhaps pay down your debts or puffing your savings up) & putting a positive spin on this as long as you're investing your time anyway?

I've seen on the hoarder TV shows, compulsive shoppers who buy too much and do not have places for everything they own. You don't want to turn into one of these people, who have so much anxiety about their disorder and so much fear.

Get help for yourself. Find out what drives you to shop to excess, and how to have a healthier relationship with possessions.

Keep us posted, and good luck.
Space is getting tighter. I am tring to resell some stuff and give some stuff away. I buy a lit of stuff with the intention of using the items as gifts.

I actually dont havecabd debt other then my mortgage. Re the personal shopper.. I think I am going to focus on reselling or trading for now. If it is insanely cheap I am grabbing though as long as I can sell, use or give it away.
