We've had several long trips to England and Scotland and the weather for the most part was overcast, chilly and somewhat gloomy. I loved it because it just seemed to fit with my expectations of the region. It just felt right.

I live in SW Florida and it's almost always sunny with gorgeous blue skies and I love it. Unlike what the OP posted, the days go by too quickly for me even if I'm not being particularly productive.
