(Sorry, a bit off topic...it's just something that irks me.)
I've been given infractions for that. Remove my post if it offends you that I have a different opinion, but add an infraction? Someone has panties that are too tight.

Very true, unfortunately. There are mods here who have a difficult time separating their own opinions from what others write and are unduly influenced by the comments of a few who may be their "friends."

Yes. It is crazy. Some form of psychosis. I even saw a poster who thought it would be uplifting to call other people "worthless bags of DNA" Why would someone go online to write such a horrible thing?

What is wrong with these people?

Sooo...is this thread just going to be "Why do some posters seem to enjoy attacking "nice" people?" version 2.0?

That's quite the broad brush you're painting with there.

I am Libertarian...I'm registered as Republican because of what I see as issues with the 'party system' we have here in the US...actually, to be perfectly honest, I lean much further to the right than 'Libertarian', propping myself up just short of anarchy. But, I am not guilty of the accusations you make.

What would you think, if I were to accuse *you* of being a 'troll' based on these posts?

Some of it seems like obsessive behavior, some insecurity, some of it seems like a game of one upmanship, some of it just some bored kid on spring break, lol.
I was called a troll for this very reason.

Also, because some people are just very expressive with their emotions. If they hear a news story that makes them roll their eyes, they have to tell someone what an idiotic story it is. By "have to," meaning t's like an itch they have to scratch. They feel better once they said it to someone and if they keep it inside them, they can't stand it. I see a lot of people on Twitter like this.

I get frustrated sometimes with people who are repetitive and who argue with most advice given, but those seem like hallmark behaviors of a depressed and hopeless feeling person. I don't consider those people to be trolls.

So who we talking about, Chow?
Yes, malicious types, of course.

Regarding the bolded I find that somewhat annoying but I don't really think of them as trolls. Trolls to me are the ones that say subversive things ALL the time and in a way that doesn't sound bad, but really is.

I have a SIL like that, every time we have family gatherings after interacting with her I feel like a need a bath.

Low level sociopaths or ant-social personality types or whatever the correct term is these days.

That sweet little old lady that you think is nice, yet manages to slip in polite backhanded compliments and other nasty little zingers.

Things on that order.
