From Thomas Sowell- A Personal Odyssey

When I was about 23 a therapist said "it's not your fault".

It felt like a lightning bolt had hit me.

It changed the relationships I had with key family members.

The movie Good Will Hunting has a scene around "it's not your fault".

"Follow your gut".
Since hearing that sage advice, it's never failed me.

"Givers must set boundries, because takers never do."

Also:

The movie Office Space character Peter Gibbons telling the "Bob's" in the interview the line about "working just hard enough to not get fired" was life changing for me.

From that moment, in 1999, I never worked harder than I had to until my retirement this year.

Saved me from years of wasted time and anxiety.

One of my favorites ….

“Better to keep mouth shut and appear the fool than open it and remove all doubt.”
