I have tried Tasu many times and like their selection. Has anyone tried the newer Sushi Lounge at 400 N West?

Since the question is about a sushi place where a non-sushi-eater would still get a good meal, I would suggest Cafe Asia or Chai's Asian Bistro.

Our favorite sushi place is Orchid but it's not great for someone who doesn't like sushi.

I've tried most of the places mentioned, and I personally would recommend Yuri in Cary. It's light years better than Sushi Thai and Kashin.

I haven't been to several mentioned in this thread yet, but I really like Mura.

If you want authentic Japanese food and high quality sushi, I recommend Waraji. Sushi Tsune is also good though their fish quality can fluctuate.

If you just want super Americanized stuff, Sushi Thai is Cary is very good and also has great Thai food.

Hayashi is still the best I've eaten at, and they have plenty for non-sushi eaters there including Hibachi and many other dishes.

Well, since you said a sushi lounge, I am going to suggest Sono in downtown Raleigh. The sushi is amazing and it has a great sexy vibe. There are lots of different places I love for sushi but Sono takes it for the lounge atmosphere IMO.

For bargain priced sushi, I like Sushi Thai for the BOGO deal and Ginza in Cary. They do any 3 rolls on the menu for $25.95.

I second this! We LOVE Yuri. Its delicious. Get the Ahi Tower, mmmm my mouth is watering just thinking about it! Sit at the bar and talk to Eddy the sushi chef. He is great and always remembers us every time we come in.

I second the vote for Ginza in Cary. Been there twice and had good experiences both times.
