Not wimpy at all.

The buses do not have snow chains.

In the neighborhoods, much melted ice has frozen again.

The main roads may be good, but you need to get to them safely.

I don't disagree with you. I was just playing off what Vicki said.

Unfortunately that is the society we live in!

That said, the roads at 7am this morning were not great, would not want my kids on a bus.

The road out front of our house is still icy. I suspect it'll fully melt by around noon-1pm.

But... there's quite a bit of water, so if we don't have a heavy melt and runoff, we'll have ice again tomorrow in a good many places.

Did anyone see the estimates of a possible snow/ice event mid-week?

Ugh.

Every forecast has a different idea of what might happen.

Yeah, I dropped my kids off at daycare at about 8:30, and side roads are still a problem. I think they'll get better as long as these forecast high temperatures of 52 today and 60 tomorrow actually come to pass.

The buses are parked in uncleaned lots. They showed some of the parking lots where buses are parked and they are iced in. Many neighborhood roads are still icy. It's unfortunate, but it is what it is.

Fortunately, we're supposed to stay above freezing tonight, so we should get good melting today without a refreeze mess in the morning.

I just saw that. The forecast changed. That's good.

Who wants to call Tuesday? I say at least a delay in Chapel Hill, but from my experience with them, they'll probably close.
