Like was mentioned earlier, if you want casual fried seafood, Skippers in Apex is decent. For sit-down seafood, I enjoyed Dean's seafood in Cary. Dean's Seafood Grill and Bar in Cary, NC I had the NC oysters (Jackson Bay or something like that) and they were some of the best I've had. If oysters are your thing they have a handful of options from different areas, each with a distinct flavor.
Dean's also has a Sunday brunch buffet, although I've never tried it, so I can't comment. The only other option I can think of is Golden Corral, but best to save your money and avoid that one.
I don't want to hijack the thread, but can anyone recommend a good casual, non-chain italian restaurant? Somewhere we can bring our young kids to.
We enjoy the food at Anna's in Apex. It is very casual, pizzeria/restaurant but the food is good. Mostly basic Italian fare. Their Sicilian pizza is good but their regular pie is just so-so.

Assume you want Cary/Apex area also. If not, then there are a lot of other options too.
Mamma Mia's seems very family friendly, and they are good Italian (spoken with an accent and all).
Bocci is a little nicer, but totally fine for well behaved young kids.
Lugano is more upscale, would have to be really well behaved kids.
Agree with Anna's in Apex, but they have limited seating, so you may have to wait?
I don't like Daniels, but plenty of others do. Equal to Bocci as far as kid-level goes.
If you want super-cheap, super kid friendly, there is also the place in the BJ's Shopping Center at Crossroads. The name is totally escaping me, but they are counter service (order and pay, they bring it to your table), cheap, very kid friendly, and not bad FOR WHAT THEY ARE. I'll think of the name later and update if someone doesn't beat me to it. EDIT: Cappollas
PS: Nice thing about Bocci is they have great entrees AND great pizza. Probably the best all around compromise for well-behaved kids, and their discerning parents, IMO.
