The other person posted proof the trend was going UP the prior to Thanksgiving. Are you even reading the data?
Here was his chart. See the line goes up as it goes to the right. That is what is called an uptrend, not a downtrend.
It drops after Thanksgiving, which is to be expected.
Good lord. The 7 day moving average peaked on the 21st, began moving down on the 22nd and has continued to move down since. Thanksgiving was on the 26th.
In any event, this doesn't have anything to do with my primary postulation, as previously stated.
Look at post #931. The 26th had the highest number of tests of all. You really should read up on things prior to posting. It appears you really don't know the data behind your false assertions and then you are quoted directly, then pretend you didn't post what everyone can see you posted. I'm trying to help you out here, as your content is not at all backed up by the actual data and you are tripping over yourself in contradiction.
Let me try to help you out a little more. You are trying to cherry pick one day or another. The trend is not any one day. The trend is over multiple days/weeks. You said the trend was down, but all the data shows the trend was up. No amount of false posts can change that. The trend is what it is. Please man, please read the data. Please look at the charts. Please don't keep posting stuff that is completely and absolutely incorrect. It may diminish your credibility.
Actually, you are the one cherry picking one day's numbers. I'm talking about the 7 day moving average. Which clearly has been moving down since prior to Thanksgiving. Not just the 26th. Okay. Sure buddy. The data posted shows the trend up and the graph shows the trend up, but you want everyone to ignore that and pretend the trend is down. 411,173 tests 11/19-11/26 versus 327,283 tests 11/11-11/18. Hint hint. One is more than the other. When one week is more than the prior week, that is trending up. I don't know what the point is for you to post information contrary to the facts, but have at it. Whatever floats your boat for whatever odd reason.
I think you literally can't read. Look at the chart that was posted. See the yellow line? Thats the 7 day moving average. It starts going down on the 23rd and has declined since. Do you see that? Thats a fact. What about that do you not understand?
You're cherry picking specific days in order to try and save face since you know you're wrong. Just stop and move on.

Looking at the “Daily Testing Metrics†chart, it’s absolutely clear that the daily testing numbers were generally increasing prior to Thanksgiving. I don’t see how anyone could disagree with that.

11/6 - 11/12 = 262,927 tests
11/13 - 11/19 = 293,084 tests - That's more than the previous week. That is an UPTREND
11/20 - 11/26 = 357,510 tests - That's more than the previous week and also more than the week before that. That is an UPTREND
What is so hard to understand about that? Each week had more testing than the week before, yet you keep trying to claim there was a downtrend. Why are you totally ignoring the facts and posting complete nonsense?
