Bounce, I would actually love to relocate to UK, Yorkshire dales in particular, a nice little market town somewhere......
But our families would have a hard time with us hauling the grandkids so far away. Where is a good place to let a vacation cottage?
ROFL. I LOVE James Herriot! I watch it almost every night when I fold the laundry. I have to watch the same episode about 3 times before I understand what everyone said, lol. But I love it. I just need a dairy cow. With 7 boys, the milk goes quite fast around here.
If you're looking for a rental use a realtor, they have access to most rental homes and you pay nothing for their help. If you want send me a private message with your e-mail address, price range, sq ft needs, pets, no pets,etc and I'll send you properties that are for rent just so you can see what is out there.

We live in Cary and love it. Any neighborhood north of High House Road and in the vicinity of either Davis Drive or Rte. 55 would put you within a relatively easy commute to RTP. The walking to shops is a bit of a difficulty for a number of neighborhoods. Highcroft, The Reserve and Carpenter Village, have elementary schools within walking distance. Carpenter Village also has a lovely new library in walking distance that just opened this past fall.
