The rain is here. I'm thinking we will see the wind within 2-3 hours. Hopefully it wouln't be much.
At the very least if people prepared for this event and it doesn't materialize, at least you will have a jump on things in case Ike comes our way too later next week. That one looks real ugly.
Either way, I'm glad we are getting all this rain. God knows we culd have used it this time last year!
So far just some 'bands' of rain up here in Wake Forest.
More like a Tommy Dorsey band type of rain so far.
The rain and air is to warm to be Cold Play and maybe after
mid night it might be Aerosmith type of bands.
I think ZZ Tops or Whitesnake typed of bands will
miss us this time! Although it may just 'Pour some
sugar on me' types could be looming out here!!??
...but they may take the 'doors' when they arrive!
So we will see which 'tracks' get cued up! Happy Friday night!
Does your missing rain hurt or if you are from out west or california does it feel new .
I just read the latest update, seems to be a little farther behind than originally predicted. I guess I shall have to go to bed and hope I don't miss it! It's not raining or ANYTHING here! But good grief, every relative we have across the country (and even OUT of the country) has called us tonight '"just to make sure we're all OK!" I told my husband to point the indoor fan into the phone for "gusty effects" so we don't disappoint!
Never heard a thing during the night...woke up to gentle rain. Glad there was no thunder, as we have a dog that doesn't care for it, and one that barks like crazy to alert us to every clap (as if we don't hear it ourselves!). He likes to take care of us like that, bless his little heart.
This reminded me a little of the nor'easters we had up in New England in the winter - it was so nice to snuggle under warm covers at night and listen to the howling wind - and look forward to piles of snow in the morning!
I'm glad Hanna fizzled without causing a lot of damage for people in the area.
