Hello,
I know I've seen a lot of threads for moving, homes and communities, etc. (Which I have read, and have gotten lots of good advice from!) I am hoping to get some more.
We are looking for a home under $200K, in a good area, with at least a good elementary school. (We have a 3 year old daughter). We're open to North Raleigh, Cary, RTP area, East Durham (near Brier Creek, etc). If anyone can recommend neighborhoods, etc I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

When you say you work in Durham do you mean downtown Durham or are you refering to RTP?
I love looking for houses so feel free to send me a private message on what you like and I'll send you my currents favs. I live in the Silverton area of Cary and love it North Cary Park is in walking distance along with the Black Creek Greenway. There's a house for sale by owner right now on Silvercliff Trail which I believe is a 3bed/2bath, 2 car garage for $180k. I recently found a fantastic website to save yourself some time on houses in Durham and Raleigh you can check the spotcrime.com website to see if it's a safe neighborhood. I also loved my realtor and would be happy to pass on his info as well.
not realtor.com, but hire a real top shelf Realtor that knows your target market. They will do all of the leg work and are well worth their commission. At least that is my experience after buying 8 different properties in Raleigh in the last 18 years.
Well, we thought of that, but Wake Forest is an hour commute for both of us, either way we go, without traffic. I'm sure it's worse with traffice... ugh.
