Today I visited the Rollingview Marina which is located on Falls Lake in Durham (map of location below). You can rent boat slips at the marina or you can use a boat launch ramp at the location for a $5 fee. I beleive there are also campsites up in that area. Below are a few quick pictures of the Marina.

Some views of the Marina

At the marina you will find everyting from fast boats....

To tiny boats...

This boat kind of reminds me of a Winnebago!

I didn't realize The Sheriff's Dept. had its own boat! I wonder what the dog is for?

Any idea of what they charge for a boat slip.
I sure would boat more if I didn't have to tow and launch
and load back up.

Beautiful photos, NRG!

I know I'm directionally challenged but I've been to Rollingview Marina many times and I had no idea it was in Durham!!!

Used to be that you could rent boats here but they changed that a few years ago. Too bad. It was great fun to rent a pontoon and hang out in the lake for a day! So much easier than buying your own boat!

As for the "winnebago", I always wanted a houseboat!!! Hubby said these "trailers" on a pontoon are not for him!!!

Nice! Do they have a place to dry dock boats there? We've been looking for a place to put ours on Falls or Jordan.

Yes, they have dry dock space available as well. The launch ramp at Rollingview itself is pretty bad from what I remember (down a dirt road, no dock after launch, etc.) but if you launch from Rollingview campground right around the corner from the marina the launch is very nice.
