I don't know anyone personally but I do see a lot of ads for landscaping/yard work on craigslist.

dont know that part of n carolina very well, but i have found putting up an ad at the senior center or thru a high school student job board, -- works pretty good here. best yet-- word of mouth on my block, in this hard economy lots of people need work.

Be sure anyone you hire has workmen's comp in place. Homeowners will not protect you in case of injury to such workers.

That's why I recommend TROSA over hiring the kid next door. TROSA is insured and licensed. If the kid next door gets injured while working on your property, you'll be sued into oblivion.
