I hope I am not repeating a thread, but I'd be interested to hear your favorite recipes. My wife and I feel like we've run out of food ideas and I'd like to hear your favorite recipes to possibly give us a little change in our "eating rotation". Please, no crazy recipes with stuff that you can't find in a local supermarket. Thanks!

Quick & Easy Chicken Pot Pie

2 Skinless/Boneless Chicken Breasts
1 Package Frozen Mixed Veggies
1 Can Cream of Chicken Soup
1 Can Pillsbury Grand Biskets
1 13X9 Pan

Pre-Heat oven to 350° place ½ of the biskets
on bottom of 13X9 pan put in oven until almost
done,Meanwhile cut chicken into bite size chunks
or any size you like, brown in a fry pan with olive
oil & butter and what ever seasonings you like
try some poultry seasoning,when chicken is almost golden brown drain & add the mixed veggies until they are soft stir everything around
and add cream of chicken soup turn heat down
to a simmer when it starts to bubble pour over
biskets and add the rest of the biskets on top
pop it back in the oven until the top biskets are done remove from oven and let set about 5min.
dig in and enjoy an old classic in half the time

Hawaiian Chicken

2 16 oz bottles of catalina dressing

2 12 oz bottles of orange marmalade

2 bags of onion soup mix

Mix everything together in a bowl
add chicken , let sit over night
then bake adding extra sauce

after its cooked you can add pineapple if you like

CREAMY CHICKEN BAKE


4 chicken breasts, skinned and boned
4 slices Monterey Jack cheese
4 slices American cheese
1 (10-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
1/4 cup water
1 cup seasoned stuffing mix
1/4 cup butter melted

Grease a large baking dish. Lay chicken in dish and place cheese slices
on top.
In a separate bowl, mix together the soup and water, and spoon over the
chicken and cheese.
Sprinkle with stuffing mix and pour butter on top.
Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 50 minutes.

Broccoli and Cauliflower Salad

1 head of cauliflower, small bag of broccoli
½ lb. bacon
1 cup of miracle whip salad dressing
½ cup of sugar
2 or 3 tbls. of apple cider vinagar
1 cup of shredded cheese
½ cup of nuts any kind
raisins
cut broccoli and cauliflower in bite size pieces, add bacon and cheese,raisins
mix salad dressing ,sugar and vinegar together, pour into
bowl and mix together with cauliflower and broccoli, put in refrigerator
about an hour before serving. very good and healthy. You can
add other things if you want.

If you want simple and no off-the-wall ingredients, try this next time:

Quick n' Easy Chicken Parmigiana (my kids' favorite weeknight meal)

1 package spaghetti
1 package frozen breaded chicken breasts (or patties if you prefer)
1-2 jars favorite spaghetti sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup parmesan cheese (parmigiano reggiano)

Cook the spaghetti according to package directions - pour drained pasta into greased glass casserole (13 x 9). While cooking pasta bake the chicken according to package directions. Pour sauce over pasta in casserole, top with prepared chicken breasts, sprinkle with both cheeses evenly and bake in 375 degree oven until cheese is melted and sauce is bubbling.

For variety, you can try different pasta (farfalle, mostaccioli, orecchietti, linguine, etc.) and/or different sauces (alfredo, marinara, bolognese, etc.). Garlic bread and caesar salad go great with this meal.

I dont really have a "recipe" but I like this.

Several packages of frozen green beans, a stick of butter, lots of ham chunks, and enuf water to cover.
Put in a big pot and simmer on the stove until it cooks down and everything is mushy. ( No crunchy veggies for me. I like mine cooked till theyre dead.) I usually do 3-4 ackages of green beans cause I like leftovers and it gets better each time you heat it up.
I dont but I suppose you could add a few of those teeny little onions or some new spuds.


I cook for one so this may be a little TOO simple. I like to upgrade can soups. I freeze cooked beef chicken etc in small packages. Then I add them to chunky soup. Or I fry a package of mushrooms in butter and stir in a big can of cream of mushroom soup.

Our favorite was tacos, but not the kind you get in a restaurant. I'd stir up hamburger and fry til nearly done, add about half a packet of taco seasoning, and stir in a can of refried beans. Heat a pan of oil and flip a couple of corn tortillas in and over, enough to make them soft and a bit greasy, then onto plates [one each], cover with the meat/beans, add shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, chopped black olives, chopped avocado, shredded cheddar cheese, lots of sour cream and salsa. It was actually more like a Mexican chef salad. If there was enough meat/beans left over, the next night was home made burritos.
