Well I would want to stay in my relationship but I would take time to talk to my dogs! I really do wonder what they would say. I read somewhere that dogs are getting to understand humans better than primates. It has been dogs and humans together for thousands of years it only makes sense. Also read they can count up to about 5 or 6 and if they had vocal cords would have vocabalary or at least 50 words or so. If course all those words would be Walk, treat, food, water, outside, car etc.. Would be hard conversation to understand
I have three dogs....pugs ......and would love to know what they have to say. If something were to happen to my DH, I can't say for sure I'd want to be in another relationship. Not because we have a bad relationship, quite the contrary, but I don't know if I could go down that road again and build a life with someone. It's a lot of work and you have to find the right person - DH is the right person for me. I'm sure there are other men out there who could be right but I don't know....not sure I would care if I were in the position to find out.
I definitely would have dogs though, regardless of whether or not I were to get involved with someone else. I can function well on my own but would need/want a pet for sure. I'm not good at showing emotions to other people, very private and guarded. I don't feel the same way about my dogs, not at all.
the whole charm of dogs is that they can't talk so we can talk about whatever I want to talk about. Besides, I don't think I'm through with relationships.
