Hafta agree with the detractors here. A waste. Pure and simple. ESPECIALLY when it comes to height. As JBT1980 noted, men must be of a certain height before they are even allowed entrance. As a 5'5" male, no dice. My experience with O.D. can be put thusly: "Sorry, thanks for playing, drive thru, don't come back."

DC Area is rough too bro. I can sympathize. Just be proud of who you are regardless of height. There's a lady out there for you.
Online dating is bad mainly for one reason: You form your first opinions and impressions of the person through a 96-pixel-per-inch photo and some words written to be as inoffensive as possible, and the rest of the relationship never really moves beyond that initial foundation.
If you meet someone in the flesh you get a 3D, full-motion image. There are things that might look bad in photos that are total non-issues when you see a person's confidence, gestures, smile, presence in person. You also get to interact with them spontaneously. They can't plan out responses like they can through email or chat.
So -- following one disastrous marriage that started out through an online dating service---I don't do it anymore. I finally found I am comfortable just starting up conversations with people in the flesh. I also am introduced through friends of friends and such. Whatever happened to that?
i refuse to pay for online dating, except for Plentyoffish because that does not even cost a penny
I would actually consider a pay service before going back to OKC. I figure most people are gonna be taking it a little more seriously and looking for more serious relationships if they're forking over money every month.
weren't you complaining about online datng a few months back?
I dont know if you meant ME, or the OP
I've had good and bad experiences with it. Mostly good. But i didnt have good experiences on the POF site.
