It was just meant to be.

We have Native American on both sides and by nature we are prone to this issue.
I have a high tolerance for pain, but it was the fear of general anesthesia that kept me off the table for that long!

That and the attacks started when my daugher was 4 weeks old, I was still nursing and really just couldn't interrupt the milk supply.

Then we had baby #4 and when he was 12 months old I had such a horrible attack that I threw in the towel. I was kind of hoping I could reduce them enough with diet and exercise but my doctor said I probably wound up exacerbating the issue with the weight loss.

Oh well...my scars are practically invisible and I no longer have attacks so it all worked out for the best.

I'm awfully close to being a real life version of that guy from he movie Unbreakable lol.
Count your blessing for good health then!

I also have English in me which means terrible teeth. I spent over $10,000 to get my perfect smile.

I some teeth pulled, some drilled and filled and resurfaced ect. Then I had them whitened and sealed. Then I had porcelain crowns put on them.

Cost me a fortune but it was worth every penny!

I play sports myself. Judo and Tae Kwon Do.

I have never seen Unbreakable. I am not a movie buff but I do like really awful movies like Hell Comes To Frogtown.

The worst thing that's ever happened to me was having my MCL almost ripped in half in football.

My teeth are perfect. My dentist has told me that people would kill to have teeth like mine lol.

Unbreakable was a bad movie IMO, but it's a fairly old movie now, you can probably find it for super cheap. Has Bruce Willis and Samuel Jackson in it which threw me off because I felt the movie was just not that great.

I am so terribly afraid of surgery and such myself! However the doctors had me on 2MG of IV Morphine every hour so I was so out of it on pain killers that I felt no anxiety and just couldn't fight.

What a terrible time to have attacks! Could it be that your pregnancy triggered them?

Diet and excersize help sometimes but for others it makes it much worse. I am sorry to hear that happened to you in your case.

About two weeks after the surgery I had a doctors appointment and I weighed in at my usual 110 pounds. Then I went to the doctor a few days ago and I had dropped fifteen pounds and my doctor threatened to throw me in the hospital against my will and feed me via a stomach tube if I can't manage to gain the weight back.

I don't like being this thin either. It is not healthy and it doesn't feel right at all. I also have implants so my weight now is really in the 80s which is beyond anorexic level for my 5'7 stature.

I am really scared to be honest.

Oh my gosh! That would be super painful!

My older brother has perfect teeth. Drove me crazy with jealousy as a child. Now he dips tobacco and it is screwing up his teeth.

Every star has a bad movie or two usually. Just look at Kevin Costner and Nicholas Cage.

There is no between. You either love their films or hate them to death.

It was the most painful experience of my life. The doctor said it would heal on it's own and I wouldn't need surgery. I think if I had to have surgery, my knee would still me messed up.

Yeah, no dumb drugs for this guy. I like my teeth very much so I don't plan on ruining them.

On a knee injury note I have a real story here.

My great grandmother had to have one of her knees worked on and the doctor who did the surgery was well known and was going to accept an award that night.

He botched her knee surgery so he could go to the dinner ceremony to accept the award.

He admitted this to my great grandmother and my grandmother at the follow up visit when she was still having terrible pain. My grandmother said that she was going to tap dance on his grave one day.

He and his wife lived down the street from them in Texas at the time and when his wife was scattering his ashes out on the lawn as per his wishes my grandmother went to the woman and explained what had happened. The woman just smiled and said that she understood and that several others would like to do the same thing and that she wouldn't have a problem with it so my grandmother put on her tap shoes and literally tap danced on his ashes!

Yup, they actually think the extreme weight gain and loss with the pregnancies close together (4 kids in 5.5 years) probably triggered the gallbladder problems. I would gain about 35-40lbs with each pregnancy and then lose all of it within 4-6 weeks of having the babies.

Do they think your weight loss is just a side-effect of the surgery? I lost about 15lbs in 3 weeks after having my gallbladder out. It really was due to the fact that I was scared to eat which sound kind of stupid, but I wasn't sure how my body would react after having my gallbladder out and I didn't want to push it.

I still have really poor eating habits because of it.

Guys who do that deserve what's coming to them lol.

Sometimes the body just can't cope well with extreme gains and losses. It is nice to know that you can lose baby weight that quickly though. It seems that with the blessing of a resiliant body that can bounce right back from multiple pregnancies came the curse a gallbladder that just couldn't handle it.

They know that because my weight was fine two weeks afterwards that this current weight loss is unlikely the result of the surgery but due to the medications they had me on and they are switching me to others. I hope it works soon because as things stand I have lost one more pound since then. They put me on a weight gaining diet and my Husband is encouraging me to eat all kinds of stuff. He was even sweet enough to order me some Kinder Hippos from England which will hopefully get here any day now.

As for eating after surgery I have never had a problem. If given the chance I can scarf down more than my fair share of anything! However the things that I like are usually fruits and vegetables since growing up in a poor, welfare dependant home with five other siblings and such we had a very poor diet of prepackaged foods and fresh foods were rare.

I have been known to eat entire cartons of oranges and raspberries and bite into onions and eat uncooked broccoli heads ect. I was a fruit bat in another life.
