Maybe ejecting from a low-flying fighter jet with a full bladder - and surviving to tell about it - would compare! Of course, being scared peeless doesn't involve quite the same set of emotional responses, but it would be intense.

Although it's kinda hard to compare them to sex since sex is a lot of physical pleasure... the above experiences are much less physical and far more psychological and complex. You feel at one with machine, or with the world, every worry just disappears as you end up in this very calm and serene mental state. Everything just seems right. It's fantastic.
Not having read through the thread I may be blindly walking into a hornets nest BUT I would say that there is nothing worse than obligated, robotic sex in high frequency and NOTHING better than passionate, intense love making with someone who adores you and who you adore in return. Nothing.
Okay...you guys need some better partners! Maybe a book would help. Interesting coorelation...were the same folks who don't fart in front of their partners also writing that petting their cat was better than sex?
I will admit that helicopter skiing on fresh powder is pretty awesome. As was the 10 course Chinese meal I had in San Fransisco....but after both, I also had excellent sex.....
