No, because that would make me no better than they are. Disliking someone immensely takes up too much energy. *shrugs* I'd rather go about my way and forget about them. I can do that.

In most cases, I just want those who hurt me or betray me in some kind of way to just vanish into thin air. Most people that hurt you once will keep hurting you in the same or similar fashion. Then again, it depends on the type of pain that they cause.

Instead, I packed my bags, told her how wonderful she was and told her everything i loved about her. I then wished her good luck and told her that she will make some man very happy one day. She was so pissed she could hardly contained herself. I know, because we met some years later and had a chuckle about it.
Wow, impressive way to handle that. I had a similair situation, but I didn't intentionally handle it that way (or THAT well)
In any case I think the OP is explaining/experiencing is anger. I have had a couple break ups in which I was quite angry. In the second relationship, I was able to learn from the first "bad" relationship and control my emotions much better the second time around.
It is quite common to be angry, post break up, especially if things ended bad.
I myself am going through this exact situation. My goal is for the anger to dissolve. I feel the best revenge is to never think about that person. The problem is that we are emotional beings, and detaching that emotion is easier said than done.
