It all comes down to the individual. Some people want it more than others. Some people would want it everyday and others could go on for a while without it.

Oh, and let me make another point. To answer Capitol's question: it's not that the fire isn't there that we'd have to go "rub one out" (such a dude term, but anyway) in a hurry. But as a generaly rule, unless you stick your hands down my pants, you'd have absolutely no idea about whether I was revved up or not. It probably won't show on my face. But have mercy, my husband knows about it as soon as I see him again. And when I was single, if I had a BF then yay for me. If I didn't, I could make the claim that no man wants to have sex with me nor cares about how much I want it. Sheesh!

My point is that my desire for my teacher did make me feel rather amorous but I could "deal with it". The desire is the same for both sexes, but the way it manifests itself is different. Men tend to focus on the phsyical, the superficial, and women get turned on by the emotional context. This is why porn for men and porn for women are so different. A man would probably find lady friendly porn boring, as it doesn't cut straight to the sexy time. But it's the story and emotional connection between the parties in the scene that turns women on.
