I've been browsing okcupid profiles and came across one that says she's looking for short term, friends and activity partners. If you're not familiar with the site, it has tons of Q&As you can read. Her Q&As indicate she is a long term serious relationship person, ready to find someone to marry and have kids with. So what do you think? She is on rebound?
She sounds like someone who prefers to become friends with someone before getting into long term relationships with them, hence the choices of short term, friends, and activity partners.
Or... She could also be on the rebound, not interested in LTRs at the moment, or is just trying out the site. Really, the best way to find out would be to just ask her.
During my 5+ months on that site (I deleted my account about a year ago) I was amazed at how many checked they were looking for a "short-term relationship" on their profile. Looking at further answers I found that not to be true for many of them.
OP - Pretty typical from what I read and I read hundreds of profiles.

I would put short term AND long term, because for me at least, even if I would want a long term relationship if I find the right person. I have short term relationships to get to know them and most relationships end in the sort term, because I find that they don't hold my interest or there is something conflicting. And sometimes I have short term relationships, just because I don't want to be totally single, which usually ends up being a bad idea.
Maybe a long term relationship is the ideal for them, under the best circumstances, (ideal match, not on rebound, enough free time, no personal problems) and they are looking for short term to avoid boredom.
Not sure if this is true or not, but I've heard putting long term reduces the amount of responses you get because it makes you seem desperate.
maybe a female would get less responses from guys, because they would be less easy.
