I don't mind pets, but I won't message any guy with a pic showing 'conspicous consumption' items like a sports car or airplane. I don't mind if he has them; it is the showing off that is the turnoff. I figure those guys want the sort of woman who will be impressed, and that's not me.
I actually dated a guy who had a photo standing next to his sports car and his dog. I rolled my eyes at him showing off the car but the dog looked sweet so I gave him a shot.
I never knew that dogs were such a big turn off. When I was on an online site, I had a picture of me and my shepherd mix hiking (crossing a stream) as one of my photos. I included it because I do a lot of that with my dog.
Oh well, I never met a long term man online anyway.
But men do seem to like their bike and fish pictures, lol.

The only thing that bothered me when I was actively searching on dating sites were pictures of a girl with some guy in the picture.
Why the hell do I want to see a picture of your ex, or your friend, when I want to see what YOU look like if I'm interested? That just doesn't make any sense at all, and I generally ignored those profiles.
Exactly. And guys do it too. They think it makes them look cool to post pics with girls or exes. I'm immediately turned off and think he's a retard.
