I haven't ever put up pictures of my cat on a dating site but it doesn't bother me to see others with their animals. I prefer smaller dogs like a Yorkie as opposed to a larger dog. Smaller dogs are cute when they jump on your lap. Bigger dogs are annoying. At least that's how I feel. Plus I wouldn't want my cat around a big dog.

I hate all toy dogs (working or sporting dogs much preferred), and more than one or two cats I avoid (not just for allergies, but other experieences). No baby talk or "its my child crud" though, can't deal with that.
And let's not even start with bathroom pics - half naked guys with cowboyhat on and urinal in background.
Below there is a picture of my first ever forum profile pick circa 2009. How obnoxious is that? I did still get messages from women interested in hooking up, which in hindsight boggles my mind.
In my defense, it was a motorcycle forum and not a dating website, so different rules might apply.
But I would not approach you if that was on a dating website. I am not against guns, but it just isn't appropriate. But since you haven't posted it there anyway, no need to discuss it further.
That goes for men who post pictures with their dogs as well. I've had several situations where I stopped seeing someone because of their horribly, un-trained mutt.
Maybe that's the idea. Weeding out people who are not dog/cat lovers from the get-go. It's a good idea if you ask me.

You took the words right off my keyboard!
There are men who post pictures with their dogs, too and their arsenal of "big boy toys" like expensive cars, RV's, motorcycles, etc.
What's the difference?
