Maybe that's the idea. Weeding out people who are not dog/cat lovers from the get-go. It's a good idea if you ask me.

I agree with this. You see the picture and you know right away they are not for you.....unless it is someone elses dog!
There are pictures here of me with my cat. I don't know if there were any pet pictures on my online dating profile. There may have been, but it was a cool picture of a cat I used to have.
I think that showing dealbreakers clearly in photos is great! You wouldn't want to put a lot of time and energy into someone only to discover a month later that they had a pet you weren't willing to live with, right?
I don't mind pets, but I won't message any guy with a pic showing 'conspicous consumption' items like a sports car or airplane. I don't mind if he has them; it is the showing off that is the turnoff. I figure those guys want the sort of woman who will be impressed, and that's not me.
And ditto on the attack dogs, for the same reason.

I have two small dogs and I love them to death. Small dogs are easier for me to take care of right now. They don't shed or make as many messes. I really wouldn't want to date a guy who didn't like small dogs anyway. Are you worried someone might see you with it and think you're not manly?
I always put at least one pic with my 55 lb dog up on dating sites because we are a package deal. If you don't like my dog, I don't want you anyway. I don't want to attract cat people either, bec I am allergic and my dog, too.
Yes, dealbreakers are guys with hot chicks left and right in their pictures _ SOMETIMES EVEN IN HOTTUBS _ and the headline "my best friends" or "hanging out with coworkers". WTF??? NEXT ....
And let's not even start with bathroom pics - half naked guys with cowboyhat on and urinal in background.
And I even saw HOT TUB pics of 3 MEN hugging each other in swim trunks, no kidding.
