What a LOOOoooNNNnnnng DAY.

Son had to be at morning work outs at 5:45. Dropped him off then went back to the HS to drop off older son at 6:45. Back home to pick up the two younger kids, pick up carpool child, drop off at middle school, go to Elem. school for early meeting.

My kids (students) were off the hook today...we didn't do anything new. Played a few games, wrapped up a few units and had recess twice

Went to a friends house for apps and drinks, trick or treating and then out to dinner with the family.

And now I'm back home in my favorite chair. I have one last out-of-town weekend and then I'm DONE travelling on the weekends until after Christmas. I still have to grade a stack of papers, do my report cards and plan the next two weeks of math. It is going to be a productive but exhausting weekend.

I've posted this several times before, but I can't get over how smooth sounding it is.

We're animals.

In the animal world the males usually have to "fight" to mate.... etc etc etc.... that same approach applies to the human male... even though we try to intellectualize it away... it's still there..

Women still don't have to chase like men... and I don't care if it doesn't sound PC it's the truth as far as I'm concerned.

It's all around you. You go to a bar and watch... all the men that sit on the sidelines and wait for women to approach them are gonna be waiting cause the other men will do more of the chasing than women will so if these young men want to not do that just cause theoretically since women are equal and all....

Well.... they're gonna be in for a rude surprise, cause women don't have to chase nearly as much as men.

I say this from the perspective of not being a player and a woman chaser... but biology is biology.. just cause we say it should be another way doesn't make it so... much to Captain Picard's chagrin.....
And that's why good ol' internet porn exist.

Rain turns into sleet over here. Its a glazed mess out there. Temps approach freezing, and cars slipping. I'm hearing lots of honking and ambulance sounds.

Meanwhile, I'm under my fuzzy electric blanket .

Jerking off gets old, really quick... it's shallow and empty and frankly porn doesn't really satisfy in the long run... I'm not even being an anti-porn person.. I'm just saying.

I guess I don't know how to say it.. but yeah.. in certain ways women do have the upper hand... yes, they are making more and more money, getting on par with men and yet there's the subtle society expectation that men have to assume more of the load... across all facets of dating..

It's sort of an awkward spot we're in in society right now........ not sure what the answer is......

As much as I sort of pick on the younger guys here... I do get some of their complaints.. at least a high level view of them.....

I'd say the problem is from justice system pressure. Many divorce settlements don't end up fairly, according to mom who works with family courts. A number of times, the man is forced into heavy burden. I'd ask for reforms in legal issues pertaining to families, maybe even take it to the streets at some point. Clearly, its archaic and needs to change to suit modern times. Many of these kids had seen divorce, and been scarred by being close to women who didn't respect them as kids. I'd say that does shape their personality significantly.

It's actually a mult-pronged issue and not really a clear cut black and white type of deal.

I need to chillax a bit on the ebay... I bought a men silver ring with my birthstone in it, a Box set of CD's, a T-shirt.... that's just off the top of my head.

LOL.. I'm not a spender typically... but I've been wanting this stuff for about 6 months and just said screw it... buy the damn things.....
