Yup. I honestly think the best music has passed us. Also have to love the Eagles.

I was just ranting on Face book about it, the only crap you hear anymore is F ing rap... I'm so done with hip hop and rap I could just friggin scream... I'm not even kidding.

People always ***** and moan about the newer generation or newer stuff in general, but I think objectively you are right.

Music these days sucks.

It's been corporatized and has been that way for a good long time now... I rarely listen to anything new and modern, at least pop music wise, the Justin beibers and idiots of his ilk. Miley Cyrus is another retard, and no offense to mentally challenged folks, as calling her mentally challenged is a serious insult to mentally challenged people around the globe.

Remember that stupid ridiculous routine of hers where she's wagging her tongue out all of the place... I didn't know if she singing or trolling for f ing spiders.....

LOL...

/Rant.

I hate sounding like a curmudgeon. But, cycle between 90s music, classic rock, some older country and jazz.

I do too, I go back and read my rant and I sound like some old prick... LOL.... but yeah, I guess I'm passionate about music, because music is the heart and soul of me... I couldn't get up and partake in this ridiculousness we call life without it.

Not to be dramatic, but I think you get what I'm saying and to see music die and wither away right in front of you is a bit much, at least for me.

I mostly listen to hard stuff, but I dip into everything.

I'm like nachos in that respect, every bite filled with a little deliciousness of variety.....

Sirrus XM has has that channel called lithium, that is pretty much just 90's music, mostly metal and grunge.

The 90's were a dark time in music and I think Nirvana sort of kicked it all off in that decade...... the decade that came along and showed us just how silly Hair metal during the 80's had become.

Lol. I did find a few, but for some reason everything this season is white (well the styles I liked) and its for a wedding.....

I think it's the crowds that I really don't like. If only they'd close all the stores just for me.. Lol

I listen to lithium. I also like channel 37. Country, which I grew up listening to sucks. I like Bakersfield sound. The country of the late 80s and 90s.

Then I go old school, the rat pack cool. Retro.

I dig that Bakersfield sound....... Dwight Yokam.... I love his stuff.

I dig the hell out of the older 80's and 90's country, Randy Travis, George Strait, Garth Brooks, Brooks and Dun, Clint Black, I could go on.

I have a box set of old school Frank Sinatra, I'll put that on, have a cocktail and enjoy it old school, back when men were men and sheep were scared... LOL... just kidding on that last part.

Dean, Sammy, throw in some Elvis, even though those dudes didn't care for him, but to me, I love the guy, even if he went out on the crapper..... not his finest hour, but Elvis smashed it back then........

Exactly. The Mad Men retro style. That works for me.

On a sheep hauler the company had "escort" on the trailer. The sheep run scared in Wyoming.

We've covered this before, but yeah.... being poor white trash growing up has instilled a sense of urgency or shall I say a sense of I gotta get this mother on my own, cause no one is giving me any.....

That is what is wrong with this nation... people don't want to work hard... I'm not ranting.. I swear, just noting.. LOL....

Not to get all chest thumping here, but I've done much much better in life than my background would suggest and I think it was all the things that my parents did indirectly that "taught" me....

My mom was a major F up, my dad is/was a major major drunk and wasn't around as much as he should be....

My parents were bartenders and waitresses... which is honest work, but it's hard work and you don't get paid **** for it.... them doing that made me want to go to college.

I never had anything in terms of clothes and other things that other kids had, not whining, just noting.

It got me to a place where I make good money, have no debts and own a home.....

I've done far far more than my parents have ever done, and a much younger age.

I suppose on one hand it's easy to beat that bar when the bar is set so low... so instead of applauding myself, I need to be aware of the low bar I had to meet and to keep my myself in check and to try to keep my humility even though this post would suggest otherwise.

I'm a simple, humble, and mostly grateful man.... and that is the best I can hope for.
