I used to think that guys who watched Star Trek were dorks. Never thought I would end up married to one. Just out of curiousity, lets say you married said Trekkie and when you are unpacking clothes in your new house, and you see the Star Trek costume, you leave the relationship?

At any rate, I am now watching Deep Space 9 on DVD... we have the whole series. It is quite a good show. Stranger things happen.
I even have the Christmas ornaments. Yes I am weird. I would LOVE to have the entire series on DVD.

NO!!! That was thrown in there as sorta a joke!!! I mean, I really don't have a dealbreaker "except" for IMPORTANT things such as what I listed. For example, I would not want to marry a man that didn't believe in God, but heck, if he was wonderful in every single other aspect, I would not dump him because of that. Same goes for other items I see on some lists, yes there are things I don't like, but nobody is 100 percent perfect, some good qualities far outweigh the other not so good qualties. Some of the lists are quite shallow I think, but then again, maybe they are just trying to be funny!

I have a long list, I'm sure no one is shocked at that.

1. He doesn't like cats.
2. He doesn't like children.
3. He wants me to move somewhere cold.
4. He tells me he cheated on his previous partner.
5. He tells me he has a drug problem/drinking problem.
6. He tells me he has a criminal history.
7. He tells me he is bi or has been with men.
8. He tells me he wants to invite a third person into our bed.

You guys get the idea, tell us your deal breakers.
Is that list in order of priority? Do you weigh liking cats over criminal history?
Just curious.

Dealbreakers-

He insists he wants to live with/have/raise kids
He is an active addict of some type
He is self-important and/or judgmental
He doesn't understand that women have lives outside of meeting his requirements and needs

Retired to the Hall of Shame,
He isn't very bright
He doesn't accept my animals

I think lying/cheating/doing hard time/hitting/drooling/etc. should be a given.

No, it wasn't in order, I just happened to look up at one of my cats laying at my feet as I started the list.

Having said that, there is no negotiation room where my cats are concerned. They stay, its that simple. They also sleep with me, if you would like to sleep with me also, you must learn to share the bed with them.

Another one I am firm on is someone expecting me to move where its cold. I live in Florida, the only place I am willing to move is another place that is warm. I don't do snow and cold weather. My goal is to wear less clothes, NOT MORE.

besides the fact I have always loved dogs,I've come to really like cats also. The 2 that are my friends are so funny sometimes, one is so affectionate almost to the point of being annoying sometimes.

And they sleep with me sometimes and I usually don't mind but man....it's 2am and Im ready to sleep and they start licking for 20 minutes. And the one always seems to find the most comfortable position for him is the one that is the most uncomfortable position for me.
