On OKCupid, many women put sarcasm on their profiles and they seem to be quite proud of it.

Is sarcasm considered a good quality in a great partner? Does sarcasm make a woman more attractive? or witty? or cool?

Personally, I don't find sarcasm attractive because it is rooted in negativity. I prefer a razor-sharp wit.

If it's for the sake of banter and humour then yeah I'm ABSOLUTELY happy to engage!!

If not then what capschick said .....it is quite negative and then you'll have to watch what you say so NOOOOOOO thank you!

Sarcasm can be fun and witty if it's not mean spirited.
More often than not, sarcasm can have some truth in it (pointing out irony or hypocrisy, for instance) so should never be directed to people that you know can't laugh at themselves

Sarcasm can be funny but its often used on not so smart people.

So be educated or experience with life with a sarcastic lady or man.

Sarcasm can be funny, as long as its not directed at you, the partner/spouse/******. Then I'd dump them fast.

A lot of the time facetious may be the better word for what some call sarcasm.
It may really be what some of us were really describing when we said sarcasm could be funny"
Hey, it's early

A dry, deadpan wit is great. An appreciation of irony can be wonderful.

Sarcasm sucks, because it's by definition cutting and negative. One can be clever, funny, witty, etc. without being caustic.

Caustic works for some people. For me, it's uncomfortable. A sarcastic person is not one I'd be drawn to romantically.

Absolutely.

A bit of self deprecating sarcasm can lighten the mood. But sarcasm directed at others I have no time for.

Heavy reliance on sarcasm in a negative manner isn't something i find attractive.
