Not everybody is mentally strong. In fact, I'd wager most aren't.

Weird.

You're obviously not seeing the bigger picture.

I'm not surprised. It has nothing to do with not wanting to admit anything. Neither of them are good for a relationship. Period.

Carry on.
Neither are good, which is worse? That is the question and it's comical that you don't want to answer it.

At the core, they're the same. Their EFFECT may be different, but not really. Still deception, still betrayal.

Both are character flaws.

Cheating is worse IMO because that's a "step over the line" move of physically betraying your S.O. Snooping is more of a matter of lack of trust (justified or not) and/or insecurity on the part of the snooper.

I think it's quite obvious cheating is worse.

But there is no excuse for snooping either.

That is the point I was trying to make.

I have a very clear argument. You are using semantics. I am not dismissing your argument. It is what you are using. Yes, in regards to the overall category they fall into, deception and betrayal, they are the same thing.

However, in the grand scheme of things (in this is where my argument could not be more clear), one event GREATLY outweighs the other in terms of effect to the relationship, should the relationship last past either event being found out. This is hardly debatable.

Read the OP again. He didn't ask which had the worse effect.

He asked which is "the greater sin."

In that sense, they are THE SAME.
