True. This is the case for many people.

I'm in year two of dating a co-worker. We met at a small workplace, then both got laid off last summer due to budget issues and the tanking economy (we were far from the only ones), then both got hired at another company recently, where our boss and the HR manager knew going in that we were together. We also live together. It works for us, but I can see how it wouldn't. It's required VERY good and constant communication between us, and very clear work/home boundaries.

At our new jobs, we don't see each other all that much, which helps. At our old jobs, the company was tiny, so we were in each other's faces practically all day long. We're discreet, driving separately and taking pains to not put our relationship in everyone's face. Some people have figured it out, so I'm sure many more people know than I even realize, but it's okay.

It's not for everyone -- or even most people, though.

It's like anything else - it's all good until it breaks off...

Hmm, I don't know. I wouldn't make a habit of it, but I wouldn't completely rule it out either. My sister met my now bro-in-law at work. They've been together for almost twenty years, and married for half that time.

Pros: you get to see each other and have a good day at work

cons: most people at jobs are not gay and they are usually plus sized and really unattractive, anti-social, or obnoxious. If you break up it will be so weird and hurtful because you will see each other every day. People will gossip about your love affair.

More cons than pros!

I like some of the plus sized girls. Mia Tyler is plus sized and looks good to me.

Can't think of anymore right now though.
