Sometimes trees are collected and put into ponds to create breeding and hatching areas for game fish.....if they havent been treated with chemicals....

When I was growing up one year in Connecticut we had a huge blue spruce that we stuck in a stream next to the house and when I went back in 1994 it was still there and growing.

My mother the Methodist claimed that you could tell who the alcoholics were in the neighborhood. They were the ones who left their Christmas decorations up after the New Year. Guess she never was acquainted with Epiphany.

One year we took the tree out and put it behind the garage. We finally put it out to the curb for trash pick-up in like the middle of July. Tinsel was still on it too. The trash man had the funniest look on his face when he picked it up. He kept looking up and down the street to see if he was on Candid Camera.

And.... FTR... I HATE glitter. Just felt like getting that out in the open!
