I like SOME rare names. I always liked my great-grandmother's name: Jetta. Very old-fashioned. She was called Jett and Jetty by everyone. I got my red hair from her, and when I was a little girl and my great-grandmother was still alive, my family would call me "Little Jett." Jett was a powerful woman, a fine lady, and a real ball-buster.
My grandmother (Jett's daughter) was named Etta...and she named her daughter (my mother) Betta. (Okay...just kidding. But she DID name my mother Betty.)
I suppose I'm fortunate that I got named Jennifer and not something continuing the tradition...like Hetta/Hetty or Letta/Letty. Too bad I'm never going to have a daughter of my own.....

My young daughter Jennifer also has red hair like my wife and my mother in-law.

I like the name Madison, I dated a Tim who was a moron, Neil was my first love, Gus was my unrequited love, Aaron was in porn, a girl named Kathy sued me for throwing a beer bottle at her, Risa also tried to sue because I pushed her down the stairs at a party, Taylor is my best friend and her daughter's name is Brody, and Jared is puss-whipped.
I hate nicknames like "bobby" and "timmy", it really imasculates a man.
