I'm just curious if anyone ever been with someone and further down the line suspected that he or she was gay. I'm asking because I had an ex years back that made me wonder. He liked to get manicures, pedicures, facials, hung around guys alot and love to go through the back door. I broke it off because I hated it. He move to Atlanta 2 yrs ago. Even though we are no longer a couple we still keep in touch. I asked him about it once a while back and he became very defensive. I could be overanalyzing this but I don't know. I guess I'm trying to see if it's normal behavior or if you think that he's gay.

Depends.. does he like broadway musicals? Does he refer to Barbra Streisand as Babs? Does he have at least 1 Diana Ross CD?
LOL. Funny and so very true. Also, does he mention "whimsical" and "textures" when it comes to his home decor? Does he like ANY movie with Rupert Evert, Hugh Grant or Meg Ryan? If so, then yes, he may be gay.
I do take offense to part of the OPs post though. I am very much a straight guy, and I like Manicures, pedicures, facials and hanging out with my guy friends. Not into that last "back door" thing though.

My best friend in high school who I was head over heels in love with, i suspected he was gay. And it turns out he is gay. Mostly I was sad and disappointed we couldn't be together.
Back door doesn't mean he's gay. Plenty of straight guys like it. Adventurous straight guys I've known adore trying just about anything in the bedroom department, definitely not an indicator of gay or not.
If your friend doesn't want to talk about it or gets defensive, it may be that he thinks its too personal, or that he is not out, or that he is not out to himself, or that it's just not your business.
You're funny Yankeegirl but I know 2 other guys that get manicures and they both mess around with alot of women. Rakin, I kind of agree with you that he could be in touch with his feminine side or bi but I just can't tell the difference.
Thanks LaoTzuMindFu. It's nice to know that other men out there get facials. ? To some of the others, he really doesn't act like a typical gay person that you would picture but that could also be an act.
I think the 2 things that would really determine if he is gay is
1. Does he like to shop for and have better taste then you in shoes.
2. Does he talk on the phone all the time.
Hey, even I've had a couple of pedicures on these nasty size 12 feet.
